The Story Of Sam, Esther, and Jane…
I’ll let the videos that follow do all the ranting for me…
Quoting verbatim from the first video:
“…most organized religions, sadly, devote much of their time and energy to defending dogma, or destroying dissidents…when kneeling before a fragile, little boy like Sam; those kind of petty and immature religious practices dissolve into a sea of insignificance…love is all that matters…”
Have we realized yet what it is that our greed and selfishness is doing to humanity?
Uganda’s rich mineral deposits of copper and cobalt, its fertile land – allowing it to be amongst the world’s top coffee producers, and its large untapped reserves of crude oil and natural gas, are a curse for its people. Like their counterparts in other resource-rich countries, Ugandans are amongst the poorest in the world where even today, more than half of Uganda’s population lives under the international poverty line – earning a measly $ 1.25 a day…
The wealthy elite are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Ugandan’s are never able to rise above the misery and poverty – because that is how the rich get richer…so wipe off those tears that welled up as you watched the videos and suck it up…our great masters – of politics and religion – are looting the wealth of nations and we are happy to help – as long as we get what we desire…
This is but the tip of the iceberg – there are many god-forsaken places on this planet that camera crews are not able to reach – these are the places that you and I will never get to see – in person or on the tube…because these places are brimming with either shiny, glittery stuff or dark, slick stuff - and the grand masters of control do everything in their power to ensure no one ever gets to see the reality in these places – from hiring and arming rogues to keep folks like you and me away, to planting land-mines all over the terrain just in case any of us got a little brave…was Princess Di not going to expose some of these high-ranking, influential folks involved in procuring and placing these land mines all over the planet at the UN just a few months before she had that unfortunate accident?…accident, eh?…guess we’ll never know now…
Tibet is another example - has anyone ever bothered to ask why China spends so much of its time, money, and resources on ensuring that Tibet stays in its control – and that Tibetans are never allowed to make any progress? I guess no one told you that 10% (and possibly more) of the world’s oil reserves lie beneath the ground less than 200km north of its capital…who knows how much more oil there really is in that country…
I digress…
Stop those crocodile tears of yours - if the less fortunate are a children of a lesser god, it is because of us – each and every one of us – the segregation, biases, and prejudices that we have inherited from our ‘religious’ dogma; and the greed, selfishness, and apathy with which we conduct ourselves everyday are the main reasons why a select few from amongst us are able to manipulate their way to bottomless buckets of riches on the backs of innocent folks like Sam, Esther, and Jane…shame on us…SHAME!
Kudos to the countless grass-roots humanitarian workers out there who are doing the best they can to help the less fortunate, and are working harder than ever, trying to undo the damage that we are responsible for…
Wake up if you dare…
Wake up if you care…
